Britney Spears’ Thousand Oaks Mansion Is Beautiful Enough To Drive Anyone ‘Crazy’
The Princess of Pop Britney Spears is one lucky singer. She moved into a gorgeous 12,000-square-foot mansion nestled in 21-acres in the hills of Thousand Oaks, California, just outside the busy city of Los Angeles.
From stunning pillars and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a lush landscape and rooms decorated with classic taste, this five-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom, $7.4 million home is enough to drive anyone 'crazy.'
Spears Purchased The Home For $7.4 Million
Britney Spears has recently made a major purchase. For $7.4 million, the Princess of Pop bought a beautiful 12,000 square-foot mansion located in a gated community in Thousand Oaks, California, right outside of the busy Los Angeles area.
The Italian-style abode is decked out in stunning marble and gorgeous architecture, something fitting for a princess. It even has a fountain in its circular drive! Needless to say, Spears is quite happy with her sprawling 21-acre property.
The Mansion Is Modeled In A Neoclassical Italianate Style
Looking at the front of Spears' mansion, it's apparent that the home is modeled in a Neoclassical Italianate style. This particular style reflects the architecture seen in ancient Greece and Rome, with mile-high marble columns that make it look as though the mansion was plucked out of time.
These columns aren't just seen in the front of the house, though. They're also seen inside the main foyer and sitting rooms.
The Foyer Is Open And The Perfect Spot For Greeting Guests
Walking through the front door, the Pop Princess is welcomed with an open foyer and sitting room, complete with magnificent pillars, matching the prominent ones located on the front of the house, and floor-to-ceiling windows, giving the space a very spacious look.
With marble tile floors and off-white walls, the entrance of Spears' Thousand Oaks mansion is very welcoming, clean, and has just enough space to have an epic dance rehearsal, as seen on the star's Instagram.
The Great Room Is Definitely Great
Walking past the huge entrance, there is a great room. But the term "great" doesn't even start to define the room. The space actually has 35-foot tall ceilings. And paired with a giant fireplace, built-in cabinetry, a comfortable-looking sectional couch, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a gorgeous California landscape, the room is nothing sort of magnificent.
If Spears doesn't use this room on a daily basis, it really is a waste of a fantastic reading spot.
A Formal Living Room, Complete With Crystal Chandelier
Britney Spears' formal living room is something out of a fairytale. Designed and decorated with classic elegance, the room has everything it needs to cater to a relaxing afternoon. With two cream-colored couches, a fireplace, and even a crystal chandelier, the room is completed by the surrounding floor-to-ceiling windows that seem to be a feature in most of the downstairs rooms.
It's the perfect place to chat with friends, curl up with a book, or even take a nap.
The Study Gives Off An Old-School Vibe
While a vast majority of Spears' mansion is light, open, and airy-looking, she went with a bit of a different vibe when it came to decorating the study/library. Instead of going with marble and an off-white color palate, Spears opted for something a bit more old-school and dark.
The study features intense wood-paneled walls and ceiling, a cast iron fireplace, a built-in bookcase, and even a circular mirror to tie everything together.
A Touch Of Pink Because Details Matter
The formal dining room is feminine, elegant, and just as classy as the rest of the Princess of Pop's Thousand Oaks mansion. Unlike the rest of the house, though, Spears opted to give this room a beautiful pop of color.
With dark wood accents and cream-colored walls, Spears went for rose pink chairs. With the head of the tables' hairs being the reverse cream and pink, the setting really compliments and brings something extra to the room.
The Bedroom Is Welcoming And Cozy
The mansion sports five bedrooms, and this one just so happens to sport a fireplace. There's really not a shortage of fireplaces in this house. Ironic, considering it's southern California.
Either way, the room is decorated similar to the rest of the house, with elegant creams and off-whites with a splash of color here and there. Here, it's the deep red of the comforter and the flower sitting on the table in the "sitting room" area of the bedroom.
A Kitchen Fit For A Princess
When it comes to the kitchen, the Pop Princess went all out. The space is gigantic, with a massive island taking up the middle of the room. The kitchen looks like it's right out of an Italian fairytale with wall-lined marble countertops and dark wood cabinetry.
The most magnificent part of this particular room, though, has to be the large cart iron chandelier with electric candlestick lighting hanging directly over the middle island.
The Second-Floor Informal Living Room Is All About Relaxation
High ceilings and large windows are the key features of the upstairs living room. Even though it's technically the "informal" living room, the space is still very elegant and tasteful with its couch and workstation.
And while it's probably a great place to relax and watch a bit of television, the unobstructed view of the nearby Santa Monica mountains is definitely one of the best parts of the entire space.
The Master Bathroom Is A Dream
Spears' master bathroom literally looks like it's right out of a dream. Complete with an elevated bathtub overlooking a gorgeous view of the Santa Monica mountains, it looks like the perfect place for the singer to relax after performances.
The pillars on either side of the tub even make it look as though the tub should be in an ancient palace! Honestly, how she chooses between that tub and her walk-in shower is a mystery.
An Epic Walk-In Shower
The bathtub is without a doubt an envy-inducing part of the master bathroom, but it's almost overshadowed by the walk-in shower and wrap-around vanity. Almost. Completely covered in tile and sporting a bench, Spears' shower is big enough to hold at least ten people.
The wrap-around vanity isn't even important when looking at the masterpiece. Then again, the countertop with its vase of gorgeous flowers is a great detail to the room.
The Guest Bedroom Is Elegant And Classy
Looking at the rest of the rooms in Britney Spears' mansion, including this guest bedroom, there seems to be a common theme -- everything is very elegant, classy, and feminine. While not as extensive as some of the other rooms, this guest bedroom's washed in a cream and pink color palate.
It's fresh, light, and gives the room a sense of openness it probably wouldn't otherwise have if a darker color scheme was used.
A Peaceful Breakfast Nook
When most people think of breakfast nooks, it's a tiny alcove in the kitchen sporting a tiny table. But when it comes to Britney Spears' breakfast nook, it was more of a "go big or go home" mentality.
The nook is more of a room, complete with a round table to compliment the room's circular shape, four chairs, and a fireplace to warm everyone up on cooler mornings. And, of course, some stunning windows to make the room feel open.
There Are Some Cool Features
Not only does the mansion have a gigantic walk-in closet fit for an international Pop Princess, but it has a few other features. First, there are lush green archways over the end of the driveway, making it look as though the driver is about to pull into a castle, which they pretty much are.
The mansion also features a 3,500-bottle temperature-controlled wine cellar and a very large media room that Spears' sons, no doubt, utilize on a regular basis.
An Infinity Swimming Pool In The Backyard
Living in southern California, what's a lavish mansion without a stunning backyard and sparkling swimming pool? Spears' Thousand Oaks mansion just so happens to deliver! In the backyard, a luxurious-looking infinity swimming pool is surrounded by foliage and a beautiful pool house.
With lounge chairs and umbrellas, the deck looks like the perfect spot for the international pop singer to sit back and catch a few rays for the perfect California tan.
The Pool House Is As Big As A Normal House
The pool might be amazing, but it's really nothing compared to the pool house located right next to its steps. With a mini-deck, the pool house has sliding doors that open up to reveal a grand room that is practically the size of a normal house.
Inside, there is a large dining table with six chairs, a comfortable-looking sectional couch, two cast-iron chandeliers, a ceiling fan, and a chimney to warm up after a dip in the water.
A Hot Tub Overlooks The Mountains
Of course, what's a sparkling infinity pool without a jacuzzi? Off to the side and overlooking the Santa Monica mountain range, a hot tub is perfectly located for a bit of quiet and relaxation.
Made of stone, the tub is located amidst the foliage, making it feel a bit private and "in the wilderness." The only thing missing from the scene is a full-stoked charcuterie board, some chilled drinks, and a boombox from the 90s just because it's Britney.
A Sports Court Located In Back
The Thousand Oaks mansion is located on a solid 21-acre property. With all of that space, a sports court only makes sense! There is a tennis court on the side of the property that also doubles as a basketball court if the net is taken down.
It's the perfect sport for the Princess of Pop to get a nice workout in while keeping a friendly bit of competition in the mix.
A Birds-Eye-View Shows How Large The Property Actually Is
Twenty-one acres sounds like a lot of land but it's crazy how large it actually is when seen in from a birds-eye-view. Not only is there a sprawling 12,000 square-foot mansion in the center of the land, but there is also a decently-sized pool house, an infinity pool and detached hot tub, a large sports court, and even a putting green.
Not to mention there is a very long driveway that basically wraps around the entire property.
This Is Carrie Underwood's Gorgeous Tennessee Mansion
Just half an hour south of Nashville rests Williamson County, the quaint area where Carrie Underwood lives with her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher. Their gorgeous 7,000 square foot home sits on half an acre of land and overlooks sweeping countryside landscapes. The property sold for just over $1.4 million, which averages out to about $200 per square foot.
Before you start shaking your head, wait until you see the incredible ceiling architecture in every room, the wrap-around porch, or better yet the two-floor master closet! Get ready to see this single-family home built for country music's royalty.
A Beautiful Brick Home
This spacious home was built out of bricks in the year 2000. The tope and gray color scheme stands out against lush green landscaping. A long driveway provides ample space for guests to park or children to play.
Speaking of parking space, you can see to the left the three-car garage that is divided into three separate car entrances. The garage alone is 1832 square feet, the size of a spacious two-bedroom apartment. The community also features a pool and a walking trail.
Love At First Sight
Now that's how to make an entrance! Not every home has such a breathtaking entry as this one. The formal foyer is massive and is framed by a gorgeous curved staircase. Anyone walking down those stairs is bound to feel like a celebrity.
Recess lighting and a chandelier bounce off the soaring ceiling and glistening marble floors. The open floor plan enables the space to feel extra airy as you flow from the foyer to the formal dining room to your left, or to the living room to your right.
A Quaint Dining Experience
Late arrivals will be immediately welcomed by diners at Thanksgiving dinner with this open formal dining room. Encapsulated by three walls instead of four, the room offers plenty of space for large parties to gather around the table without feeling pushed up against a wall.
The light sconces and chandelier add a delicate touch while the large windows increase the room's breezy feel. The enormous rug underscores how giant of a space the room is. Crown molding accentuates the rustic walls and ceiling.
A Jaw-Dropping Living Space
Imagine the parties you could throw in this room. Whether it's a charity event or a family gathering, this room is sure to wow anyone who walks in. The walls are massive, reaching up to the second-floor ceilings. Long windows are stacked on top of one another to bring the outside in.
Light dances across the hardwood floors that flow into the earthy color of the walls. A grandiose fireplace features a unique design that accompanies the molded artwork mounted to the wall cutout above.
A Comprehensive Bonus Space
The home features two full baths and a half bath on both the main and second floor, meaning that guests could comfortably stay on either level. This room could be used for just about any purpose: a study, guest room, office, yoga studio, artist studio, the list goes on.
Curved french doors add charm while the tall windows and ceiling give a dramatic effect. The matching wall and ceiling paint color that underscores the room's depth. The chandelier adds a touch of elegance without seeming pretentious. Framed by windows, this room offers pleasant views of the countryside year-round.
A Homey Kitchen
While some may call this wooden kitchen tired, it's far from outdated. Just take a look at the giant stainless steel refrigerator and chef's stove. The emphasis on wood draws the southern charm of the countryside indoors. After all, the kitchen is the heart of the home.
The wooden cabinetry is broken up by a tile backsplash, adding texture and design. Smooth, marble flooring brightens up the space. Recessing lighting gives a coat of shine to the cabinets and barstools, while a slick, black island modernizes the room. Ample cabinets and counter space make this kitchen as functional as it is homey.
A Cozy Family Space
While the formal living area towards the front of the house would be fantastic for events, on everyday occasions you might prefer bundling up with the family in this room. The family area still has ample room, but it feels less dressy.
Complete with an expansive view, this is the perfect room to watch a ballgame or classic movie with the family. Open up the sliding glass doors for a fresh breeze in summer or light up the brick fireplace for a touch of warmth in winter.
A Commodious Master Bedroom
Tray ceilings catch your eye the minute you enter this elegant master bedroom. Carpeted floors and a fireplace keep the room feeling cozy while surrounding windows offer views of the country. Crown molding and recess lighting illuminate the ornate structure of the room.
The spacious room easily accommodates a large bed and furniture set while still leaving plenty of room to walk around. Imagine dozing off midday to a crackling fireplace while watching gentle snowfall linger outside this cozy but capacious master suite.
Look At That Tub!
The obvious focal point of this bathroom is the tub, which looks more like a jacuzzi in terms of its size. It also acts as a partition between his and hers vanities, which offer plenty of storage space.
Above the vanities are large mirrors with light sconces for ample lighting while you're getting ready. You can also see that both sides of the tub, following along the vanities, lead towards to separate doors where the incredible walk-in closet lies.
A Split Level Walk-In Closet
This walk-in closet has plenty of storage for someone's wardrobe. The built-ins offer a variety of options for various clothes, shoes, and accessories. Chandeliers and recess lighting keep the room well lit and glamorous looking.
The contrast of the white and brown color scheme offers charm to a space that typically is the plainest area in a house. To point out the obvious, there is also a beautiful spiral staircase in the room.
A Breathtaking Dressing Room
You know you're famous when you have a huge room just to get dressed in. A well-lit vanity, shoe closet, dressing room, seating area, and television are just a few perks of this incredible space.
A shag rug lays overtop marble floors. The cream and white color scheme continues in this room, creating unity between this space and the one upstairs. Large sliding glass doors offer fresh air to combat the heat of a hairdryer or warm shower.
A Sweet Guest Room
Though this room seems modest in comparison to what we've seen thus far, it has features that add to its polished feel. Walking in, your eyes are drawn upward by a tray ceiling that has one less tier than we saw in the master bedroom.
Crown molding and floorboards break up the monotony of tope walls and carpeting. A large window peeks out at the gorgeous countryside view beyond the wrap-around porch. To the right, a mystery door leads either to a walk-in closet or an attached bathroom.
A Spacious Bedroom With A Unique Twist
Unlike the other rooms, this large bedroom has a wooden accent wall. In tune with the mood of the rest of the house, the wood has been painted over with various shades to marry country style and artistic elegance.
The spacious room is further expanded by a vaulted ceiling that stretches up and inward for the sake of architectural design. Sheer curtains filter in the light while adding a touch of mystery. Wall outlets encompass the room, enabling an occupant creative control over the placement of furniture and electronics.
An Accommodating Full Bathroom
This bathroom would be a perfect setup for any guest or child. The shower has both a water head that's secured to the wall and a handheld one. The tub is a standard size but appears to be slightly more shallow, which is safer for young children. The sink has plenty of counter space as well as ample storage underneath.
A small window allows for proper ventilation without the sacrifice of privacy. Aesthetically speaking, the earthy tile in the shower and on the floor compliments the lovely marble countertops. The ornate architecture of the walls and ceiling add character to the bathroom.
A Place To Get Your Sweat On
This room has clearly been modified to meet the standards of a gym. However, it still incorporates some of the design elements present throughout the rest of the home. For instance, you have a double-tiered ceiling with recess lighting and a ceiling fan.
On the workout front, mats cover the floors and are flush with the wall to prevent damage being done to the floor below. This also allows for floor workouts such as yoga and pilates. A mirror lines the wall to ensure that you can always keep an eye on your form. Windows allow ventilation and brighten up the space.
The Room With A Beautiful Feature
Odds are that you've yet to see a bedroom with a ceiling like this one. Unlike the other rooms which have multiple tiers, this one has just one. However, it's uniquely deep and has been painted a soft blue that exaggerates the design so that it's hard to take your eyes off of it.
Another gorgeous feature of this room is the built-in window seat. Sheers line the actual window while drapes are hung further from the glass on the opposite side of the seat. You could literally disappear into your book by drawing the curtains and curling up in the space.
A Two-Way Bathroom
Like the previous bathroom we saw, this one has both a tub and a shower. One perk of this one is the sliding glass doors that ensure water doesn't leak while you're bathing. The counter space and storage is again plentiful.
Through the large mirror above the sink, you can see that there are two doors leading into this room. More than likely one door leads to the hallway, while the other is attached to a bedroom. The convenience is that it can act as a guest or a personal bathroom depending on occupant and guest arrangments.
A Fun Hangout Space
While there are multiple places to enjoy company, this bonus room allows for a more specific space than the living room and family area. This space could be a playroom for kids, a game room for teens, a man cave, an arcade, or any number of other themes.
In the distance appears to be some sort of kitchenette, perfect for entertaining or for a mother-in-law's quarters. Vaulted ceilings and recess lighting further open up the large space.
A Stone Porch
This long porch offers views of the hillside, grassy pastures, and even a pond. Ceiling fans are spaced out overhead to ensure that you stay cool in the warmer months while still enjoying the sunny views.
Best of all, the surrounding stone will be slow to heat up, meaning you can step out barefoot without worrying about hurting your skin. Especially for those who are sensitive to sunlight, the porch is a perfect way to get fresh air while staying in a shaded area.
An Outdoor Entertainment Space
The back porch leads to this opening with outdoor seating. Guests can gather around the fire pit to warm up or can stand by the ledge and look out at the beautiful surroundings. Alternatively, you could move the furniture and create a closed-in outdoor space for young kids to play in.
The cement floors are virtually upkeep free and provide a space for kids to color with chalk. There is also enough space to set up a large outdoor table and a BBQ for picnics
