These Are Hip-Hop’s Highest-Paid Artists
As the classic Kanye West lyric goes "If they hate then let 'em hate and watch the money pile up." West officially tops the list of the highest-paid hip-hop artist for the first time.
He's made $150 Million so far in 2019. His shoe brand with Adidas, Yeezy, made more than $1.5 billion in sales this year alone.
"There was a beam of light on the idea of me making athletic footwear. A paradigm shift. Like the Yeezy is desired as much as a Jordan," West told Forbes.
Jay-Z was second on the list earning $81 million this year. Rounding out the top three was Drake with $75 million.
The top 20 hip-hop acts this year made a combined $860 million, which is an increase from $648 million last year. Looks like hip-hop is the business to be in!
