PHOTOS: Look Inside Mike Tyson’s $2.5 Million Nevada Mansion
Boxing legend Mike Tyson decided to make a slight change, purchasing an 8,149-square-foot mansion down the street from his former residence. Located in the Seven Hills community of Las Vegas, Nevada, the mansion cost Tyson a whopping $2.5 million.
The price was well worth it, though, because the Italian-style mansion is gorgeous. Take a look!
A Legend In The 1980s
In the 1980s, Mike Tyson was the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion of the world. Making an estimated $375 million during his iconic career according to SportsKeeda, Tyson fell into financial strain in the early 2000s, filing for bankruptcy.
According to sources, the boxer fell into $23 million worth of debt. From the looks of his new mansion, though, he came out of the hole!
A New Mansion For $2.5 Million
In recent years, Tyson has made Las Vegas, Nevada, his home, namely the community of Seven Hills. Now, he's listed his home for $1.5 million after purchasing a new mansion just down the street!
He bought the home for $2.5 million, and at 8,149-square-feet, the residence is an absolute marvel.
Six Bedrooms And Six And A Half Bathrooms
Tyson's new mansion is massive, with six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms taking up a portion of the space. Not only that, but the mansion comes with a yard that features a beautiful swimming pool.
It is plenty of space for the legendary boxer, his wife, and their two children.
The Backyard
The backyard of Tyson's new mansion is an absolute dream. Looking like a private oasis in the desert, it features palm trees and lush landscaping around a gigantic resort-style infinity pool.
When the weather permits, there is even an outdoor sitting area with a table. The perfect spot for a family dinner.
A Hot Tub And Fountain
The pool isn't the only thing in the backyard. Off to the side, the Tyson also has an amazing hot tub with a fountain around its sides, surrounded by more of the lush landscaping and some gardens.
It is the perfect spot for a cooler night out in the Nevada desert.
An Outdoor Kitchen And Grill
Walking further to the side of the backyard, Tyson also has a beautiful outdoor grill and kitchen setup. Surrounded by various seats and tables, it is a great spot for the boxing legend to entertain guests and have a barbeque.
The kitchen is covered by an Italian-looking overhang with ivy.
Fire Pit Next To The Outdoor Kitchen
While the outdoor kitchen and grill are beautiful, it is made even more gorgeous with a fire pit built into the foundation of the stone countertop.
Right next to the fire pit, there is a built-in couch, the perfect place to entertain guests and lounge around on a temperate night.
The Entry And Stairs
Walking in through the front door, guests will be met with a huge foyer and a sprawling staircase on one side, complete with a wrought iron banister to complement the chandelier.
On the other side of the marble flooring is a baby grand piano, a touch of class to bring the two-story grand foyer together.
A High-Ceiling Sitting Room
Further into the mansion is this sitting room. With a high ceiling and huge window, the room is beautifully lit with natural light.
There is also a dual-purpose fireplace that tends to this room and one on the other side of the wall. The room is beautiful and looks as though Tyson is in the middle of decorating.
The Entertainment Room And Bar
One of the coolest rooms on the main floor of the house is arguably the entertainment room. With a massive television and entertainment center, it is the perfect place to kickback and relax with a movie.
The room even comes with a fully stocked bar and seating for when guests come over!
The Master Bedroom
The mansion features six bedrooms, one of which is this massive master room. It features a huge window overlooking the backyard and pool and has an en suite bathroom that has everything a boxing legend and wife could ask for.
There are even doors off to the side that goes out to an upstairs balcony!
The Master Bathroom
Walking through the master bedroom, Tyson has a spacious en suite bathroom. Complete with three huge mirrors, one of which is a makeup vanity, the bathroom is a dream.
Not to mention there is a walk-in bathtub with green granite stairs that complement the countertops. It all looks over the top luxurious.
The View From The Bathtub
What is a walk-in bathtub without a marvelous view? Answer: nothing! The good news is Tyson's view is nothing short of spectacular. Looking out over the pool, the bathtub very well might be the best view in the entire mansion!
There is also a balcony that stretches the length of the master bedroom and bathroom.
The Dining Room
Back on the first floor, there is a gorgeous dining room with silver and patterned accents. The large table is set in the middle of the room and surrounded by ten fabric chairs with a beautiful chandelier hanging above.
Off to the side is a massive counter, the perfect place to set platters of food, so they don't take up room on the table.
The Kitchen And Less Formal Dining Area
Around the corner from the entertainment room is the kitchen. The wood cabinets are complimented by granite countertops and sleek stainless steel appliances, all of which look to be brand new and top of the line.
Off to the side is a less formal dining area for when the Tyson's are not entertaining guests.
More On The Kitchen
On the far side of the kitchen, there is a circular table that is far less formal than the ten-seater in the dining room. The kitchen table also has a great view, overlooking the backyard and the pool.
The table is far smaller than the dining room table, only seating four people.
The Laundry Room
Also, off to the side of the kitchen is what looks to be a very spacious laundry room. In the room, there is a side-by-side washer and dryer.
But what makes this room so nice is the fact that there is so much storage and counter space, probably hiding away some cleaning supplies, too.
The Temperature-Controlled Wine Cellar
The new appliances and spacious kitchen aren't the only nice things in the room. Off to the side of the kitchen, the Tyson's get to enjoy a butlers pantry that acts as a temperature-controlled wine cellar.
The cellar is able to hold more than 100 bottles of wine and other bottled beverages.
The Front Of The House
Compared to Tyson's former residence, this mansion is far less modern. Looking at the front of the house, it is obvious the legendary boxer switched to a different style, going for a more Italian-looking home instead of the white mansion he previously lived in.
It's even bigger than his former mansion!
Bigger Than His Old Pad
Tyson's old mansion is right down the street from the new Italian-style home. Even so, it looks completely different with its modern architecture and white coloring. Also, at 5,800-square-foot, it is smaller.
The boxer previously bought the house from NBA player Jalen Rose for $1.75 million, and it is now on the market for a whopping $1.5 million.
